Our Story
Every Adventure Has a Beginning
Before there was Splatter & Splash...
Before there was Mine & Shine...
Before there was Mount Creation...
There was simply a husband and wife who wanted to build a place where creativity could bring families together.
Our Story
Our Story
At DIY Invasion, we believe creativity has the power to bring people together. What started as a passion for creating memorable family experiences has grown into one of the Gold Coast's most unique immersive creative experiences destinations, where imagination, exploration and hands-on creativity come together under one roof.
Located on the northern Gold Coast, DIY Invasion welcomes families, friends, schools, businesses and community groups looking for something different. Rather than simply offering activities, we create immersive creative experiences that encourage people to explore, discover and create together while making lasting memories.
Over the years, our experiences have grown far beyond our well-known Splatter & Splash adventure. Today, guests can discover a diverse range of creative workshops and hands-on experiences including Mine & Shine, crystal workshops, resin art, birthday parties, school holiday activities, corporate team building experiences, paint workshops and family creative adventures.
Everything we create is designed around one simple belief: creativity should be exciting, accessible and shared. Whether you're celebrating a birthday, exploring with your family, reconnecting with friends or discovering a new creative hobby, every experience is carefully designed to inspire confidence, imagination and genuine connection.
As our world continues to grow, so does our vision. DIY Invasion is evolving into ImaginAura—a place where every adventure tells a story, every creation has meaning and every visitor becomes part of something bigger. While new realms, characters and experiences continue to unfold, our purpose remains the same: helping people discover the joy of creating together.
We are incredibly grateful to every family, school, business and community group that has supported our journey. Every smile, every creation and every shared memory has helped shape DIY Invasion into the creative destination it is today, and we're excited to continue building even more unforgettable experiences for years to come.
Hi, we're Chris and Tamie.
DIY Invasion began with a simple idea: to create a place where families could spend quality time together, be creative, and make memories that would last long after the day was over.
As parents of three children ourselves, we know how quickly childhood passes. We wanted to create experiences where kids could put down the screens, get their hands messy, discover something new and leave feeling proud of what they'd created.
What started as a handful of creative workshops has grown into something much bigger. Today, DIY Invasion is home to immersive adventures, unforgettable birthday parties, school holiday programs and one-of-a-kind experiences that encourage families to explore, discover and create together.
Everything you'll find here has been imagined, designed and built with love by our family and our incredible team. From building cave entrances and creating new worlds, to writing stories, designing characters and dreaming up new adventures, we're always asking ourselves one question...
"What would make someone walk through the door and say... wow?"
That question continues to guide everything we do.
We're incredibly grateful to every family who has visited, celebrated a birthday with us, left a review or shared our journey. You've helped turn a small family business into something we could only dream of a few years ago.
And we're only just getting started.
Welcome to DIY Invasion.
We can't wait to share the next adventure with you.
The Heart of DIY Invasion
What We Believe
At DIY Invasion, we believe creativity is about so much more than making something with your hands.
It's about discovering confidence.
Trying something new.
Having the courage to make mistakes, solve problems and keep going.
Every adventure we create is designed to encourage curiosity, imagination and resilience. Whether a child is painting, mining for treasures or celebrating a birthday with friends, we hope they leave with more than just something they've made.
We hope they leave believing in themselves.
We want every child to know that it's okay to dream big, to try again, to keep exploring and to never give up on an idea simply because it's difficult.
Because every masterpiece starts with a blank canvas.
Every treasure begins beneath the surface.
And every great adventure begins with taking the first step.
Explore. Discover. Create.
